LPMD, comprised of world renowned drummer, Longineu Parsons III, and, producer/artist, Miles M. Davis, released their debut album/mixtape, Off The Record, in September 2011.  Longineu Parsons III, best known for his founding position in the platinum selling band, Yellowcard, and Miles Davis (birth name, no gimmicks), EMMY Award nominated audio engineer and “The Source Unsigned Hype” featured producer, clearly have two different musical builds.  The combination of the two genres, however, according to the drummer/rapper duo, make for something extraordinary and special.  Meeting in 2010 and immediately connecting, Miles and Longineu wasted little time before hitting the studio.

The “birth child” of ambition and an unadulterated love of music, LPMD coerces respect through their dissection of the human condition, the media, and the evils of society, and they do so with finesse. Miles Davis, aka Mr. Rising to the Occasion, is well versed on a multitude of instruments, which he incorporates into the live performance, including, but not limited to, the piano, violin, drums (aside Longineu Parsons III) and the voice box/vocoder.  With beyond impressive track production and rhythm, LPMD has quintessentially created it’s own genre where the live performance aspect is it’s bread and butter. Representing the purest form of music in a scene that is overly saturated with “recyclables,” this duo will stop at nothing in their demonstration of raw originality. The audio assault that they wage is enhanced, heightened and enriched by the vicious drums of LP and the sincerity in the incredibly well-written songs by MD. Join them as they speak their vision into being. Not for the fame, not for the money, but for the love of the music.
